COURSE OUTLINE
Orbix Education is a pioneer in providing Artificial Intelligence courses to all Malaysian students. Our AI courses emphasise the usage and application of AI, incorporating AI technology through introducing case studies that highlight the creative processes in product development. Through the inquiries and skill development for the Al cycle, students are pushed to achieve breakthrough discoveries in AI projects. Ethics and morality is also highlighted as a part of the holistic approach of Orbix Education.
Students will embrace the AI concepts and skills from previous courses and look closely into designing AI projects such as smart home systems, vacuum robots, AI theme parks, food delivery cars and more.
AI PRODUCT DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT
SKILLS IN AI
Through this unit, students dive deeper into understanding how artificial intelligence works in emotion recognition, voice print analysing and facial recognition. Students will be introduced to the concept of how machines use specific features to analyse human faces, voices and emotions.
THE SCIENCE
OF AI
This is an introductory unit for Artificial Intelligence. Students will get acquainted with artificial intelligence (AI) and its everyday uses. They will be briefed on the evolution of technology and the history of AI, and will experience AI applications that highlight the three dimensions of AI and its lifecycle.
This unit briefly introduces basic programming, focussing on building specific features in AI and robotics. Students use programming blocks which involve the concept of fuzzy logic to programme autonomous cars, smart social companion robots and more.

PROGRAMMING
Students will be fascinated with the usage and applications of A.I in different areas, learning how to identify these technologies and deconstruct the features to understand how information is collected and processed. Students will have hands-on experience to design mazes and solve puzzles using the AI system.

PROCESSING
This unit is a highly specific field in Artificial Intelligence where students will experience how an AI robot detects language, processes and analyses its meaning, and further responds to it. Students will be enlightened by the complexity of natural language processing and the challenges faced by machines to understand humans.
Students will explore how machines detect human faces, words, symbols, objects and colours. By examining the flow of the AI system, students will gain a deeper understanding on how computer vision technology is developed and used in robots.
COMPUTER VISION
This unit introduces the concepts of AI system engineering and the process in designing and developing AI systems. Students will examine different case studies that focus on different objectives in problem-solving using AI. At the end of the course, students will be able to analyse the components of an AI product and understand its process flow.
AI SYSTEMS
This unit introduces deeper concepts in machine learning such as agent, environment, state, reward and policy and how they are applied in computer games. Q-learning, a model-free algorithm is used during the lessons to explore how some famous computer games were developed.
AI IN COMPUTER GAMES
Students will learn how to program the autonomous car, futuristic household products, AI parking systems, tour guides and more. Students will gain first hand experience in prototype design and product development, where their creativity and innovation skills are put to good use.
AI FOR ROBOTICS
Students learn the fundamentals of machine learning and its applications in our daily lives. Students will practice integrating these concepts in building a series of projects involving local traditional culture.
